Pedagogia+ Programme

The Pedagogia+ Programme brings together a set of initiatives designed to support and enhance the development of pedagogical and transversal skills that are essential for teaching staff, contributing to more effective teaching and learning processes.

Pedagogy+ Initiative

The Pedagogy+ Initiative aims to enhance the quality of teaching by promoting a culture of pedagogical innovation, grounded in opportunities for the development of advanced pedagogical competencies, classroom observation, personalised feedback and the sharing of good practices. This approach contributes to the attraction and retention of students and teaching staff in an increasingly differentiated, multidisciplinary, diverse and inclusive educational context.

Through the combined efforts of the Academic Development Unit, the Pedagogical Council and the Training and Development Unit, Pedagogy+ is structured around three main areas:

  • training,
  • the sharing of practices among teaching staff, and
  • personalised support based on classroom observation, feedback and coaching.

This proposal is grounded in the principles of constructive alignment (Biggs & Tang, 2011) and Bloom’s taxonomy (Bloom, 1956), and is conceptualised across five core dimensions of academic staff development: Relationship, Assessment, Pedagogy, Innovation and Digitalisation.

If you are a member of the teaching staff, you will find on this page a range of information, services, resources, events and training opportunities offered by Técnico and by external entities to support the development of the pedagogical dimension of your academic career.
